Wade Street, Parkhurst - Roadworks

Rockhampton Regional Council wishes to advise that roadworks are about to commence in Wade Street from Alexandra Street to McLaughlin Street, Parkhurst. The works to be undertaken will include installation of stormwater pipes, kerb and channel construction, new asphalt surfacing and street lighting upgrades.

Announcement : Wade Street will be subject to various road closures, with a detour in place for through traffic at Johnson Street and McLaughlin Street. Traffic Controllers will be in place to facilitate access to businesses within the area, during working hours. There will also be restrictions to parking in certain areas of Wade Street for the duration of works.

Eichelberger Park - Natural Resource Management

On-ground works are being carried out at Eichelberger Park as part of Council's Natural Resource Management (NRM) Program.

Glenmore Water Treatment Plant Upgrade

This project includes designing and constructing a complete upgrade of all the electrical and control systems of the treatment plant including replacement of electrical cabling, a new main switchboard, chemical dosing systems and the associated installation including replacement of all filters.

Col Austin Park - Natural Resource Management

On-ground works are being carried out at Col Austin Park as part of Council's Natural Resource Management (NRM) Program.

Botanic Gardens and Zoo Redevelopment

This project will transform the Botanic Gardens into a botanical collection of regional and national significance, with playground areas, new pavilion structures, a new Fernery, and reinvigorated food and retail areas.
The Zoo will shine as a leader in animal exhibitions, conservation and welfare and will provide exceptional visitor experiences and new animal attractions.
