The Vector Management Unit monitors and controls mosquitoes, rats and mice, biting midges (sandflies) and flies. All of these pests have a significant nuisance value or the potential to transmit disease to humans.
Vermin such as rats and mice can represent a public health risk.
Rockhampton Regional Council is committed to reducing the risk mosquitoes pose to our community.
