FREE GRANT WRITING WORKSHOP

If you have ever considered applying for a Council grant but weren’t sure how to go about doing it, some upcoming workshops may be the answer.

Rockhampton Regional Council is holding grant writing workshops on Wednesday 29 March, Thursday 30 March and Saturday 1 April 2023 for its Community Assistance Program (CAP) and Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF).

These three hour workshops are free but bookings are essential. 

The workshops are provided by Rockhampton Regional Council as a community service. 

The workshops will be conducted by Prue Saxby, Managing Director of Indigo Gold, who will pass on the wisdom she has gained from many years of grant writing.

The Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF) is a partnership between state and local governments which invests in quality arts and cultural experiences across Queensland based on locally determined priorities.

Next Funding Round

Round 2 2022-2023 will open Friday 31 March 2023, for projects starting no earlier than 1 July 2023
Applications close at 5pm on Friday 26 May 2023

1. Development Grant

This grant covers the following activities

  • Professional career development
  • Skills development workshops
  • Concept development
  • Creative development of new work

Assistance is available for up to 65% of the totals costs to a maximum of $5,000.

2. Project Grant

This grant covers the following activities

  • Exhibitions
  • Performances
  • Festivals and events
  • Public presentations

Assistance is available for up to 80% of the totals costs to a maximum of $10,000.    


Quick Response Grants are open year round.

  • For any project or activity that requires funding outside of the grant rounds.

Assistance is available for up to 65% of the total costs to a maximum of $1000

 

Applying

Before submitting an application form please read the RADF Guidelines and Artist eligibility.  It is highly recommended to contact the RADF liaison officer prior to submitting an application. Applications can be submitted via email to RADF@rrc.qld.gov.au

Outcome reporting

Successful applicants are required to submit an Outcome Report 8 weeks after the conclusion of their project or event. A list of successful applicants from previous rounds is available.

If you are active in the local arts and cultural community and would like to be a member of the RADF committee, we would love to hear from you.

Applicants should have experience in an area of arts and culture such as visual arts, theatre, craft, design, museums cultural heritage, writing, multimedia, community and cultural development, dance, music, festivals.
