The Regional Arts Development Fund is Queensland's premier regional arts funding program. Through a collaborative partnership between Rockhampton Regional Council and Arts Queensland, RADF supports quality arts and cultural experiences that contribute to vibrant, creative and connected communities.
RADF supports initiatives that:
- Develop artistic and creative skills
- Foster cultural participation and engagement
- Encourage innovation and artistic excellence
- Support professional and emerging artists
- Create new artistic works
- Increase access to arts and culture
- Strengthen local creative industries
- Celebrate regional identity and heritage
The program recognises the important role that arts and culture play in building community wellbeing, enhancing liveability and creating opportunities for economic and social growth.

Applications are currently open for projects commencing after: Monday 10 August 2026.
Applications close: Wednesday 29 July 2026.
We strongly encourage applicants to discuss their project with the RADF Liaison Officer prior to submitting an application. Early conversations can help strengthen your proposal, confirm eligibility and improve project outcomes.
Who Can Apply?
RADF supports a diverse range of applicants across the arts and cultural sector.
Applicants may include:
- Professional artists
- Emerging artists
- Arts and cultural practitioners
- Community groups
- Not-for-profit organisations
- Incorporated associations
- Cultural organisations
- Arts producers and presenters
All applicants must review the current RADF Guidelines and eligibility requirements before applying. Eligibility will depend on several factors including applicant type, project scope and alignment with program objectives.
What Types of Projects are Supported?
RADF supports projects across a broad range of artistic and cultural disciplines, including visual arts, craft and design, theatre and performance, music, dance, literature and writing, multimedia and digital arts, cultural heritage, museums and collections, community arts and cultural development, and festivals and events.
Projects should contribute to artistic excellence, cultural development, professional growth or increased community participation in the arts.
Before You Apply
All applicants should complete an Expression of Interest (EOI) and review the current RADF Guidelines(PDF, 286KB) and determine which Funding Category their projects falls under before preparing their submission. The EOI process provides an opportunity to receive feedback on your project concept and gain guidance on the application requirements to improve your chances of a successful submission.
