The Rockhampton Housing Construction Grant program is an initiative to provide residents an incentive and support to build a new house in the Rockhampton Local Government Area. This will in turn increase the number of new homes within the Region, stimulate activity across the building and construction industries and facilitate future population growth.
The Community Assistance Program (CAP) supports non-profit community based organisations with funding for grants and sponsorships towards projects and events that enhance the region’s well-being.
The Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF) supports professional artists and arts practitioners living in regional Queensland.
Rockhampton Region Mayor Margaret Strelow wants to see Australia Day celebrations from one end of the region to another.
The Lively Quay Street Grants programme will activate Quay Street and surrounds in 2017/18 through events, festivals, installations, pop-ups, public classes, recreational and creative activities. Council has offered cash and in-kind grants for activities that test new ideas and can show an ability to be self-sufficient in the future.
The Lively Morgan Street Grants programme will activate Morgan Street & surrounds in 2018/19 through a range of events, festivals installations, pop-ups, public classes, recreational & creative activities. Rockhampton Regional Council is looking to offer cash & in-kind grants for activities that demonstrate the broad possibilities of the site, & test new ideas.
