Bawden and Bedford Street Intersection, Berserker- Roadworks

Rockhampton Regional Council wishes to advise that roadworks are about to commence at the Bawden and Bedford Street intersection.

Crews will undertake the realignment of Bawden Street at the intersection. Works will include installation of stormwater pipes, concrete kerb and channel, asphalt resurfacing and pavement replacement.

Botanic Gardens and Zoo Redevelopment

This project will transform the Botanic Gardens into a botanical collection of regional and national significance, with playground areas, new pavilion structures, a new Fernery, and reinvigorated food and retail areas.
The Zoo will shine as a leader in animal exhibitions, conservation and welfare and will provide exceptional visitor experiences and new animal attractions.

Col Austin Park - Natural Resource Management

On-ground works are being carried out at Col Austin Park as part of Council's Natural Resource Management (NRM) Program.

Denham Street & West Street, Allenstown - Roadworks

Works have commenced on the Northen side of Denham Street and are scheduled to take 12 weeks to complete, subject to weather and ground conditions.

Council requests that drivers exercise caution and obey all signage whilst the works are being undertaken.

Announcement : During this time West Street will have detours, temporary speed reductions and parking restrictions. The works to be undertaken will include pavement and kerb channel replacements. In addition, there will also be drainage improvement and asphalt surfacing works.

Derby Street, Allenstown (Kent Street and Denison Street) - Roadworks

Roadworks have commenced in Derby Street at the intersection of Kent and Denison Streets. These works are estimated to take approximately nine (9) months to complete, subject to weather and ground conditions. Works will be carried out in two stages:

• Stage 1 - Kent Street Roundabout
• Stage 2 - Denison Street Traffic Calming

Announcement : Partial road closures will be in place throughout the beginning of Stage 1 and Stage 2 works. A full road closure of Kent Street and Derby Street will occur after the initial Stage 1 works are completed, allowing for a full reconstruction of the intersection.

Duthie Park - Natural Resource Management

On-ground restoration of the vegetated buffer along the overland flow pathway (lower section) works are being carried out by community partners as part of Council's Natural Resource Management (NRM) Program

Eichelberger Park - Natural Resource Management

On-ground works are being carried out at Eichelberger Park as part of Council's Natural Resource Management (NRM) Program.

Fraser Park (Nurim) - Natural Resource Management

On-ground bush regeneration, weeding and litter control works are being carried out by community partners as part of Council's Natural Resource Management (NRM) Program.

On-ground works are being carried out at nominated sites along Frenchville Road as part of Council's Natural Resource Management (NRM) Program.
