Hazardous and Regulated Waste Disposal including Asbestos

WMF-HAZ-REG.jpg

Hazardous and regulated waste includes materials that pose a potential risk to human health or the environment and therefore require careful management.

In Queensland, the classification and control of these wastes are governed by the Environmental Protection Regulation 2019, which sets out the legal framework for their identification, handling, and disposal.

Rockhampton Regional Council Waste Management Facilities accept limited amounts of regulated waste from residents, and some materials may require prior approval or special handling.
