Council calls for community input on Corporate Plan

Rockhampton Regional Council is inviting the community to contribute to its vision for the development of the  Corporate Plan for 2022-2027.

Council has today launched a survey that allows residents to provide feedback on the plan’s current focuses and goals.

Mayor of Rockhampton Region Mayor Tony Williams said it is a great opportunity for residents throughout the Region to be involved in the strategic direction Council will take over the next five years.

“All local government authorities in Queensland are required to have a five year Corporate Plan and each are designed to help councils make decisions and set priorities,” Mayor Williams said.

“The beauty of them is that they also provide a chance for communities to have a strong say in a plan that hones our vision and goals as a Council, and maps how we plan to make our Region even better.

“We’ve just launched a survey that provides a background into the purpose of the Corporate Plan and details our current vision and the goals into bringing this to fruition.

“We’d really love to hear if the community supports this direction for the future of our Region.

“It only takes a few minutes to complete, but it will provide us with a really valuable insight.”

Hard copy surveys are also available in each of Council’s Customer Service Centres.

Feedback for the RRC Corporate Plan 2022-2027 closes 5 November, 2021.
