Waste facilities around the Region will operate per normal daily opening hours and bin collections will occur as usual on Good Friday and Easter Monday.

The Zonta Club of Rockhampton Inc will hold its annual IWD breakfast event at the FRENCHVILLE SPORTS CLUB on Friday 6 March to celebrate women's achievements in the Central Queensland community and to raise awareness of our mission to "build a better world for women and girls".

Our guest speaker, Leann Wilson - Executive Director of Regional Economic Solutions (RES) - is a proud Bidjara, Kara Kara First Nations and South Sea Islander woman from Barcaldine in Central Queensland. She co-founded RES with Mal Meninga AM to bring the wisdom and knowledge of First Nations Peoples into the private sector, building on her extensive experience across public service, community leadership, and Indigenous economic development. She is an experienced executive and business owner, who has been at the pioneering forefront in opening dialogue and delivering outcomes for communities, business, and government.
The breakfast program will include the presentation of our Young Women in Leadership Award and Living Treasure Award.

Raffles will be conducted with the proceeds supporting the club's educational awards and projects that support women in need in the community.
