Community Corroboree

The Gulburiba Mia Program will ignite the cultural essence of Australia through traditional dance. We will be reigniting the culture of coming together for regular corroborees. The program will be aimed at all age groups but taking more of a focus on school aged children (6yrs – 17yrs). We will be planning to have a corrobboree workshop held once every month at the Dreamtime Cultural Centre where the entire community is invited to attend. On top of the regular community corrobborees, we will also be delivering traditional dance workshops to 10 schools within the Rockhampton and surrounding areas region. The aim of the program is to share cultural knowledge through a means of physical activity.
