Rockhampton Zoo opening tomorrow

Rockhampton Regional Council today confirmed that the opening date for Rockhampton Zoo has been brought forward to tomorrow, Saturday 27 June. The Zoo will now be open 7 days a week from 10am to 4pm.

The following conditions are in place:

  • There can be no more than 200 people in the grounds of the Zoo at any one time
  • Social distancing rules must be adhered to
  • Visitors must provide their contact information to staff on arrival

There will be no feeding times or keeper talks while COVID-19 restrictions are in place, and anybody planning to visit the Zoo is encouraged to download the COVIDsafe app.
