Surveillance Program for invasive plants and animals
Biosecurity Act 2014
From 19 August 2021 for a period of two years, a surveillance program will be conducted in the localities of Pink Lily, Alton Downs, Nine Mile, Fairy Bower, Gracemere, Kabra, Bouldercombe, Midgee, Port Curtis, Depot Hill, Lakes Creek, Parkhurst and Koongal.
The purpose of the Program is to:
- Monitor compliance with the requirements of the Biosecurity Act 201
- Confirm the presence or absence, and finding the extent of the presence of the Biosecurity matter
- Monitoring effects of measures taken in response to a biosecurity risk
A copy of the biosecurity program authorisation is available for inspection at any of Rockhampton Regional Council Customer Service Centres at: 232 Bolsover Street, Rockhampton City, 1 Ranger Street, Gracemere and 32 Hall Street, Mount Morgan or purchase for $3.
