Easter Weekend Closures

Please note - Council offices will be closed from 5pm Thursday 2 April and will reopen on Tuesday 7 April at 8am. If you require an urgent response, please contact us via 07 4932 9000.

Waste facilities around the Region will operate per normal daily opening hours and bin collections will occur as usual on Good Friday and Easter Monday.

Ski Gardens Car Park - Ramsden Street, Wandal

Announcement

Fitzroy River Water will be using the Ski Garden Car Park while Fitzroy River Barrage works are underway.

Fitzroy River Water will be using the area to carry out essential debris removal at the Fitzroy River Barrage, and the car park is needed to safely accommodate machinery while works are underway.

Schedule: Works are scheduled to commence Wednesday, 11 February 2026 and are estimated to take approximately one (2) working weeks to complete, subject to change.

Update: Debris has been removed from the site; however, cleanup works and minor repairs are still required within the lower carpark area. This area will remain closed until these works are completed.

The Ski Gardens Boat Ramp and upper carpark will reopen from the afternoon of Wednesday, 25 February 2026.
