Waste and Recycling

Rockhampton Regional Waste and Recycling (RRWR) is a commercial business unit of Rockhampton Regional Council and is responsible for the operation and maintenance of waste management facilities and kerbside wheelie bin collection services throughout the Rockhampton Region.

Following Council's Resource Recovery Strategy(PDF, 65MB) we will become a “zero-waste” community by 2040, diverting 90% of waste from landfill.

Wheelie bin collections and all waste facilities operate as usual on public holidays, except Christmas Day.
