The Rockhampton region offers an exciting range of entertainment, arts, cultural, community and sporting programs and events at its many venues which are listed in the below events calendar.  

Would you like to add your event to our community calendar? 

Community groups and businesses are encouraged to use our My City platform to promote their events on Council's event calendar below. To do this please follow the below steps.

  1. If you do not have a My City account please click here to create one. Your My City account is free and it allows you to load and manage your event. 
  2. If you already have a My City account please click here.

Event submissions are approved within three business days. If you have not supplied all required information your event may be rejected. Changes may be made to your event prior to approval in order to improve the promotion of your event with a more dynamic image or a correction of text formatting/typos.  

Events from this calendar may be included on the My Rockhampton Facebook page. 

Our Events Best Practice Guide(PDF, 2MB) is designed to assist organisers of events, new and existing festivals to take their events to the next level.

Light Up This Christmas in Mount Morgan 2023

04 Dec 2023 MMPAD presents the Annual "Christmas Lights "Competition for Mount Morgan Residents and Businesses. 1st Prize $150, 2nd Prize $100, 3rd Prize $50 for each category. Writing Monday @ Southside Library

04 Dec 2023 New authors, aspiring writers and those interested in supporting our local writing community will find some gems in the library calendar this month.
A new program Writing Monday, facilitated by Queensland Writers Centre volunteers, will be held every Monday morning in the Southside Library Fitzroy Room.
Commencing on Monday 9 October, the sessions will run from 12:00-2:00pm.

05 Dec 2023 Talk, Read, Sing and Play together to build a strong foundation for your child's language and literacy development.
An exciting range of toys, games, puzzles, puppets, building blocks and activities are set up in the Fitzroy Room each week for you and your child to discover and play with together.
The drop-in sessions are ideal for young children aged 5 years and under and their parents or carers.

Knitting and Crochet Club @ Southside Library

06 Dec 2023 Come along to our weekly Knitting & Crochet Club and enjoy conversation, craft and companionship while also supporting a great cause, with all items donated to Homeless Connect. Everyone welcome.
