Shearing Shed Open Day

Event organisers, couples, community groups and businesses are invited to discover one of Central Queensland’s most distinctive event venues – the Australian Shearing Shed at Rockhampton Heritage Village, at an Open Day in May.

The free event on Saturday 9 May provides visitors with the opportunity to tour the iconic Shearing Shed, explore a range of indoor and outdoor event spaces across the historic Heritage Village grounds, and speak directly with the events team about bookings.

Guests attending the Open Day will be guided through the Shearing Shed and surrounding Village spaces, view recommended layouts for different event types, and discuss wedding ceremony locations, catering vendor options, capacity and availability with the events team.

With capacity for up to 250 guests, the Australian Shearing Shed is a popular choice for those seeking a venue with heritage charm, relaxed country appeal and the convenience of hosting entire events including ceremonies, receptions, dining and photography all in one iconic location.
