Rockhampton Headspace Open Day 2020

Each year headspace Rockhampton opens it's centre to the public. This year we are encouraging all young people to take "Small Steps to improve their Mental Well-being". Our Centre will have a variety of display and promotions on how our young people can improve their mental health.

These will include: Haircuts, Make Up Sessions, Music Jam Sessions, Meditation and Yoga, Handball competitions, Café, gaming lounge, and Art Workshops. In addition, there will be 6 mental health clinicians available to the young people in our centre.

We want the youth in Rockhampton and Surrounds to know that it is ok to not be ok, we want to encourage them to seek assistance early as 75% of mental illness is developed before the age of 25.

Due to Covid-19, we will be limiting the amount of people to two per room at any time, and upon entry Covid screening will be taking place. Our staff will be on hand to assist you and guide our young people on the day to keep everyone safe.
