Council is committed to open and transparent governance while protecting the privacy of individuals. Under the Right to Information Act 2009 (RTI Act) and the Information Privacy Act 2009 (IP Act), you have the right to access information held by Council and to request amendments to your personal information if its inaccurate, incomplete or out of date.
We aim to make information available pro actively where possible. If the information you seek is not publicly accessible, you may submit a formal application under the RTI Act. Council also takes reasonable steps to ensure your personal information is collected, stored and used in accordance with the Queensland Privacy Principles.
