As the Rockhampton region welcomes thousands of visitors to the Beef Capital for Australia’s premier beef industry event, Rockhampton Regional Council are rolling out the welcome mat to showcase our region.

Rockhampton Regional Council have worked in partnership with Beef Australia to deliver beef themed city activations and visitor experiences to ensure visitors come and enjoy the Beef Capital for the iconic event, and then stay a little longer to enjoy all the wonderful experiences our region has to offer.

Rockhampton Region Mayor Tony Williams said Rockhampton is ready to offer an unforgettable experience to visitors and locals alike. Advance Rockhampton has orchestrated numerous activations to ensure every visitor to the event enjoys a seamless and engaging festival.

“As part of the city activations you may have noticed new murals by local artist David Plant popping up around Rockhampton CBD celebrating our region’s proud beef history with a creative spin,” Mayor Williams said.

“In addition to the public art, Advance Rockhampton’s activations include a pop-up Visitor Information Centre at Rockhampton Airport, an Advance Rockhampton trade site at Beef Australia, free CBD shuttle bus, free riverfront fitness classes, guided city tours, and free self-guided tours accessible through the Explore Rockhampton app.

“We’re also hosting multiple TV personalities and look forward to Rockhampton being on the national stage. The aim is not just to celebrate beef, but also to highlight the rich culture, history, and spirit of our region.”

Advance Rockhampton Tourism and Events Manager Zac Garven said with a record number of attendees expected, including international visitors, Beef Australia are geared up to surpass previous attendance records.

“This influx of visitors represents not only a celebration of the beef industry but also a substantial economic boost for our city,” Mr Garven said.

“A key highlight this year is Beef Australia’s introduction of the Twilight Pass, specifically designed for local residents. This pass offers budget-friendly access from 3pm onwards, allowing families to enjoy the outstanding entertainment and culinary delights of M’Eat Street after work or school.

“We are profoundly grateful for the community's support and participation in making Beef2024 a landmark event. Let us come together to make Beef2024 a resounding success and a joyous celebration of our community's spirit and hospitality.”
