The popular Emergency Services Day is on again in July and event coordinators are currently calling for exhibition registrations and inviting external organisations to sign up now.

The Emergency Services Day, now in its 10th year, encourages Central Queenslanders to “Get Ready” for any disaster or emergency that may occur, to be safe and to be prepared.

The expo will showcase what the local risks are, encourage residents to recognise how they will be affected, what actions to take before, during and after an event, and why it’s important to take ownership for their own safety.

The fun, energetic and educational day showcases the great work Emergency Services and disaster management partners do, with exciting practical hands-on and interactive displays.

It’s free to exhibit and it’s a great way to promote your service and your presence in the community to more than 6500 people on the day.

This year’s event will be held at the Rockhampton Heritage Village from 9am until 2pm on Sunday 30 July.

Please register for the Emergency Services day if your organisation provides:

  • is part of the prevention, preparation, response or recovery phases of disaster/emergency management
  • provides preventative information/services to reduce the effects of disease or conditions
  • has a connection to Emergency services
  • a service or product that assists our community to be more resilient or safer.
