Enjoy a morning of fun and Dazzling Duets, Mayor’s Treat!

Join much loved performers Grant Wolf-Whitfield and Rhonda Janes at the Pilbeam Theatre’s Seniors Month Morning Melodies, Dazzling Duets. Because October is Queensland Seniors Month, concert-goers can see the show for just $5 per ticket, Mayor’s Treat!
The show is a selection of famous duets from stage, screen and music industries over the past 100 years.
From familiar classics from the 1920s and 1930s right through to blockbuster musicals and chart-topping pop duets, this show has something for everyone. Some familiar songs include Unforgettable, Ain’t No Mountain High Enough, Something Stupid, Stumbling In, The Prayer, All I Ask of You and more.
Mayor’s Treat is a Seniors Month initiative delivered by Rockhampton Regional Council to recognise and celebrate Seniors Month and the role seniors play in our community.
Rockhampton Region Mayor Tony Williams said the concert was a great way for local seniors to socially connect with others and enjoy a fantastic performance.
“Many people are already aware of the Pilbeam’s long running Morning Melodies concert series, but this provides a great opportunity to recognise our seniors during Seniors Month and acknowledge the important work they do in our community and for their family and friends.
“I am pleased to offer the 2025 Mayor’s Treat Morning Melodies with tickets discounted to just $5 and I urge everyone to come along and enjoy a fantastic show.”
Grant and Rhonda will be joined on stage by four accomplished local musicians: Peter Field (guitar), Lee Woodhall (bass guitar), Tom Hennessy (drums) and Thammasivaphat Sudchai (keyboard).
Dazzling Duets is supported by the Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF), a partnership between the Queensland Government and Rockhampton Regional Council to support local arts and culture in regional Queensland.
Morning Melodies is presented by Rockhampton Regional Council.
Dazzling Duets will be performed at the Pilbeam Theatre on Monday 20 October at 11am. A free morning tea is available before the show, from 10am.

ABOUT THE PERFORMERS
GRANT WOLF-WHITFIELD
Grant Wolf- Whitfield has performed in a variety of Rockhampton Regional Council musicals including RENT (Tom Collins), Into The Woods (Baker), Jersey Boys (Bob), Mamma Mia! (Sam), Evita (Che), Jesus Christ Superstar (Pontius) and Chicago (Billy). He recently played Oz and seven other characters in Rockhampton Musical Union Choir’s Come From Away and is a regular in Rockhampton and Yeppoon Carols and the disco show Boogie Wonderland. His professional performances include premiere seasons of Phantom of the Opera, Aspects of Love, Beauty and the Beast, Pageant and Naked Boys Singing. For Opera Australia - Fiddler On the Roof, Rigoletto, Hansel and Gretel and La Forza Del Destino. He danced for the Meryl Tankard Dance Co. and the Australian Opera Ballet.
RHONDA JANES
Rhonda is a well known performer in the Central Queensland district, singing professionally in cabaret bands, duos and trios for over 40 years. Performing regularly in a variety of community and corporate events. Most recently producing and entertaining in Boogie Wonderland (Disco show) She loves to sing many genres including rock, disco, pop and musical theatre. She began her journey in Musical Theatre in 2001 as the Baroness in Rockhampton Regional Councils production of The Sound of Music and many more including Killer Queen in We will Rock you, Grizabella in Cats, and Judy Garland in The Boy from Oz. Last year she played the role of Donna in Yeppoon Choral Society’s Mamma Mia and more recently the Dragon and Fairy tale creature in Shrek.
