Rockhampton Regional Council has announced a one week extension to the due date for the recently issued rates notices after Australia Post confirmed delivery delays due to COVID-19.
The original due date to secure the 10% discount was September 2, but this has now been changed to September 9.
Rates notices were issued on August 3 but are taking longer than usual to arrive. This is due to a significant increase in parcel volumes and hygiene and social distancing requirements in the Australia Post network.
