There is just one performance of Mayor’s Carols by Candlelight to go, this weekend at the Rockhampton Music Bowl.

Last night (Wednesday 6 December), concertgoers at the Pilbeam Theatre enjoyed an evening of Carols and Christmas songs, performed by local singers, dancers and musicians.

This Saturday is your last chance to see the 2023 Mayor’s Carols by Candlelight concert at the traditional home of Carols by Candlelight, the Rockhampton Music Bowl.

Mayor Tony Williams encouraged people to attend the event.

“Carols by Candlelight Last night at the Pilbeam Theatre was a marvellous concert and a wonderful atmosphere, and I am sure that the performance under the stars at the Music Bowl will be a superb event too,” he said.

“Rockhampton Regional Council is very proud to produce this event for the community,” he said.

“Not only does Mayors Carols by Candlelight have a wonderful atmosphere enabling families and friends to come together and enjoy the festive spirit, but it also helps a local charity,” Mayor Williams said.

Donations at the Music Bowl Concert and proceeds from tickets sales at the Pilbeam Theatre concert will go towards Fitzroy Community Hospice.

The Music Bowl concert will be held on Saturday 9 December at 7pm with gates opening at 5pm. Entry is by donation.

For the Music Bowl performance audiences are asked to:

  • Follow directional signage for parking and foot traffic.
  • Limited parking is available at the Music Bowl but additional parking is available at Central Queensland University (enter via College Rd), with shuttle buses taking patrons to and from the Music Bowl. MORE INFORMATION: www.seeitlive.com.au
