AR launches ‘Stop, See, Stay on Your Next Family Vacay' campaign

Advance Rockhampton have today launched their 2022 families destination marketing campaign, ‘Stop, See, Stay on Your Next Family Vacay’.
The campaign will target families living in QLD and NSW in the dreaming and planning phase of their summer family holiday.
Rockhampton Region Mayor Tony Williams said Rockhampton is ideally positioned to cater to family travellers.
“Offering over 300 days of sunshine a year, an abundance of fresh air and greenery, and a whole host of fun activities, Rockhampton is the perfect destination for a family getaway all year round,” Mayor Williams said.
“Our region has amazing experiences and tours suitable for families with children from animal encounters at the Rockhampton Zoo and authentic farm stays, to sunset river cruises and fishing the Fitzroy, fossicking for thunder eggs and discovering the Heritage Village, to enjoying our adventure playgrounds and exploring our Nurim Circuit treetop boardwalk.
“And having recently been listed as a finalist in the 2022 Queensland Top Tourism Town Awards, Rockhampton is more than ever on the radar of Australian families as a destination that caters towards their want for unique regional destinations, outdoor nature activities and authentic experiences.”
Advance Rockhampton Executive Manager Greg Bowden said families are one of Explore Rockhampton’s key target markets.
“According to Tourism Research Australia’s latest domestic visitor profile, families with children take 17 million trips across Australia each year, spending a total of $14.2 billion and producing 62.3 million visitor nights,” Mr Bowden said.
“With family travellers showing a strong preference for regional destinations, outdoor nature activities and drive holidays, we have identified Australia’s beef capital as a must to stop, see and stay on your next family vacation.
“The marketing campaign includes paid and organic digital and print elements across Explore Rockhampton and ‘Holidays With Kids’ platforms and will run for approximately three months.
“Our Advance Rockhampton team have created a great toolkit for local operators to download from the Advance Rockhampton website so they have everything they need to leverage this new campaign over the coming months, from hero images, promotional videos, social reels and campaign messaging.”
The Advance Rockhampton ‘Stop, See, Stay on Your Next Family Vacay’ campaign is running from July through to September, with the targeted travel period being November 2022 to January 2023.
