Rockhampton Regional Council’s first round of the Community Assistance Program for 2016/2017 closes on Monday 25 July, so get your applications in now!

Council’s Communities Committee Chair Councillor Rose Swadling was strongly encouraging local not-for-profit organisations to apply.

“We want our local organisations to showcase their exciting events and activities, and funding from the Community Assistance Program can help them do just that,” Cr Swadling said.

“The program is about helping those groups achieve their goals so our entire community can have opportunities to immerse themselves in anything and everything from sport, to arts and crafts, and other culturally diverse activities.”

Community groups need to meet specific criteria relating to each grant type, which are outlined in the fact sheets found on Council’s website.

This round of the 2016/2017 CAP closes on Monday 25 July.
