10,000 Steps

Make every walk and ride count towards improving and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Our local university, CQUniversity Australia provides a free, interactive program called 10,000 Steps to help you challenge yourself, friends and workmates to move more every day! For more physical activity information visit www.10000steps.org.au today.

Heart Foundation Walking

Heart Foundation Walking is a fun, social and easy way to be active and best of all it's FREE! It is Australia’s largest network of community-based walking groups with over 19,000 active members. Groups are led by volunteer Walk Organisers and we have new groups starting every week.

Joining or starting a walking group in your area or workplace is a great way to get active and meet new people. Every walking group is different - varying in size, duration of walk, level of difficulty and meeting times and places.

Current group:

  • Stockland Striders walk Monday to Friday from 7am in Stockland Rockhampton. To join, please call Deslea on 4928 5767 or email sport@rrc.qld.gov.au for more information.
