Yeppen Lagoon, The Range

Maintenance activities are being carried out along the Northern bank of Yeppen Lagoon to establish a healthy riparian buffer as part of Council's Natural Resource Management (NRM) Program.

Schedule: Intermittently throughout 2026 & 2027

Status: Maintenance

Site objectives:

• Increase shade and amenity along walking/cycling tracks
• Establish a healthy riparian buffer using native species
• Improve habitat quality for important water‑birds and migratory species that rely on the lagoon for feeding and breeding
• Increase flood resilience of vegetation communities
• Reduce weed density and distribution through targeted management
• Undertake routine litter collection and disposal

Work activities:

• Routine maintenance (site assessments, watering, weeding and litter control)
