On-ground works are being carried out at Lyle Albert Dobbs Park as part of Council's Natural Resource Management (NRM) Program.   

Schedule:Intermittent works are scheduled from May to December 2026

Delivery partners: Capricornia Catchments & Queensland Corrective Services (QCS)

Site objectives:

  • Support natural bush regeneration using native species
  • Increase awareness and protection of threatened species
  • Reduce weed density and distribution 
  • Support litter control and disposal
  • Improve environmental amenity and visitor experience
  • Reduce erosion and sedimentation
  • Improve canopy cover and shading
  • Increase biodiversity for native flora and fauna

Work activities:

  • Bush restoration (weed control, mulching and planting of native species)
  • Routine maintenance (watering, weeding and litter control)
