Alexandra Street & Johnson Street, Parkhurst – Roadworks

Announcement

Stage One will be the widening of Alexandra Street and will be conducted under Traffic Control with temporary traffic lights in place between 6.00am and 4.00pm on working days. This is expected to be in place for two to three weeks.

Council requests that drivers exercise caution during these works, obeying all signage, and do not park vehicles on the road whilst the works are being undertaken.

  • Project scheduleWorks are scheduled to commence on Monday, 12 May 2025 and are estimated to take approximately nine (9) working weeks to complete, subject to weather and ground conditions.

Stage Two will be the widening of Johnson Street. During this time, Johnson Street will be closed between Alexandra Street and Leichardt Street, with a detour via Wade Street. This is expected to be in place for five to six weeks.
