Rockhampton’s vibrant creative heart is opening its doors this July! Join us for the Walter Reid Cultural Centre (WRCC) Open Day on Saturday 25 July, 10am–3pm, with free entry for all.

What’s on?

A full day of creativity and discovery:

Central Queensland Contemporary Artists – drop-in painting workshop (all ages) + artist talk at 11am in Gallery 6

The Rockhampton Embroiderer's Guild – open studio, bring your own work for advice

Capricornia Printmakers Inc. – watch printmaking in action + hands-on lino printing activity

Fibre Arts Inc – spinning, weaving, and their popular “craft, cuppa and chat”

Capricornia Potters Group – wheel-throwing demos, exhibitions & workshops

Rockhampton Rail Modellers – interactive model train displays (yes, you can take the controls!)

Rockhampton Little Theatre "Whats On" – roaming performers in character

Rockhampton Lapidary Club – open studio sessions (junior & adult)

Special performance:

Enjoy “French Favorites” in the auditorium with CQ Strings and Unisong Choir (Rockhampton Youth Orchestra Inc.).
