All Rockhampton Region Library branches (including Administration) will be closed on Tuesday 14 July for a staff training day. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to welcoming you back when normal hours resume on Wednesday 15 July.

Eichelberger Park - Natural Resource Management

Eichelberger-Park-NRM

On-ground restoration works are being carried out at Eichelberger Park as part of Council's Natural Resource Management (NRM) Program.

Schedule: Intermittently throughout 2026

Site objectives:

  • Reduce invasive weeds and distribution
  • Assist natural bush regeneration, using native species
  • Increase fire and flood resilience (ability of bounce back) 
  • Increase biodiversity (native flora and fauna)
  • Reduce risk of erosion and sediment runoff
  • Encourage local community groups and volunteers to help protect key local assets

Work activities:

  • Routine maintenance (site inspections, watering, weeding, mulching and litter control)
