Duthie Park - Natural Resource Management

On-ground works are being carried out at Duthie Park as part of Council's Natural Resource Management (NRM) Program.

Schedule: Intermittent works are scheduled throughout 2026 & 2027

Delivery partner/s: Capricornia Catchments, Skilling Queenslanders for Work Program

Status: Active

Site objectives:

• Improve environmental amenity, canopy cover and shade
• Increase biodiversity within the park and surrounding area
• Promote vegetation cover to stabilise the non-perennial overland flow path and reduce invasive species
• Encourage community stewardship of key natural assets

Work activities:

• Restoration works (weed control, mulching and planting of native species)
• Routine maintenance (site inspections, watering, weeding and litter control)
