Rockhampton Regional Council is excited to announce the inaugural ‘Country on Kershaw’ country music concert as part of the region’s 2023 Australia Day celebrations.

Mayor Tony Williams said with the massive success of ‘Country on Quay’ at Rockhampton River Festival a country music line-up was an obvious choice for our Australia Day event on Thursday 26 January at the Kershaw Gardens.

“Country on Kershaw will feature a stellar music line-up with country music star Taylor Moss supported by up-and-coming artist Lewis McKee and local singer-songwriter Denvah.

Advance Rockhampton Executive Manager Greg Bowden said this years’ Australia Day program at Kershaw has something for everyone.

“Kicking celebrations off at 3.30pm the community can enjoy delicious food, markets, true-blue Aussie activities including Thong Toss, Backyard Cricket, Tug-of-War, reptile shows and circus stunts,” Mr Bowden said.

“The community can then sit back and relax to some killer country tunes on the Kookaburra Stage 6pm – 9pm.

“Taylor Moss will wow crowds with her popular chart toppers, audiences will be delighted by Lewis’s ability to include a broad spectrum of genres in his performances including country, rock n roll and blues and as always Denvah will deliver her beautiful yet distinctive vocals that will stop people in their tracks.

“Join us 3.30pm to 9pm for a relaxed afternoon celebrating all things Aussie with your friends and family. Don’t forget it’s free entry, free rides, free entertainment and free games for all ages!”
