The Riverside will again come to life with the return of Rockhampton River Festival proudly sponsored by Bravus Mining & Resources announced for 22-24 October 2021.

This signature Rockhampton event in its 6th year, moves from July to October to take advantage of our spring weather and round out an exciting year of events for the region.

Rockhampton Region Mayor Tony Williams is excited to announce the weekend festival kicking off on Friday evening on 22nd October. Set along the stunning riverfront precinct, the Festival will once again celebrate the river and our city through arts, culture, entertainment and dining experiences.

“The festival is a much loved event and we are sure locals and visitors will be excited to see this event back on the calendar,” Mayor Williams said.

Member for Rockhampton Barry O’Rourke said the Rockhampton River Festival would support local jobs and the Palaszczuk Government’s Covid-19 Economic Recovery Plan.

“We know events like the River Festival are important for bringing visitors to Central Queensland who spend with local businesses including hotels and motels, restaurants and tourism operators offering unique visitor experiences.

“The River Festival is a celebration of Central Queensland that provides a welcome boost for our region’s recovery.”

Bravus Mining and Resources, Head of Communications and Community Kate Campbell said they were proud to continue their four year partnership, helping to bring the festival back to the region.

“We’re pleased to again be the naming partner for the Rockhampton River Festival, and this year we are bringing our new name, Bravus, to the celebration,” Ms Campbell said.

“Rockhampton has been one of the key employment hubs for our Carmichael mine and rail Project, which is nearing completion, so we’re keen to give back to the community that has been pivotal in our business’ success.”
