The Number 7 Dam (otherwise known as The Big Dam) provides a perfect spot for many recreational activities and is a favourite with Mount Morgan locals. With its picturesque natural views, the Dam offers a tranquil place for a get together, with barbeque and picnic areas available. The area is also home to the town's largest shaded covered playground - including 11 different types of playground equipment, outdoor gym equipment, picnic tables, barbecues, walking tracks and plenty of parking.
No.7 Dam is open to the public, and admission is free.
Getting here
A 40.5km drive from the Rockhampton CBD. Only a 2km distance from the centre of Mount Morgan. When coming from the North, turn left off the main highway (prior to Carmody Bridge) and follow along the Dee River.
