YOUTH PROGRAM
In 2019 Scouts Australia launched a new youth program that has been designed to help the Group refresh and revisit the fundamentals of Scouting.
This amazing new outdoor adventure program takes a young person of age 5 through a 20 year journey progressing steadily and pursuing interests of their choosing.
Ultimately they can earn Nationally recognised industry standard qualifications in Outdoor Recreation and in Management and Leadership.
These courses are also open the all Adult leaders and at no cost to the Leader. Youth Program
COVID19
Scouting still operated during this challenging time, we developed a range of online resources for all ages that individuals could do at home.
Scouting at Home supported Scout Groups in the delivery of the Youth Program.
Youth members could still engage with their peers and achieve badgework this was achieved through virtual meetings
In term 3 of this year and under an industry approved COVID19 safe management plan we to face to face meetings. Scouting@Home
DIVERSITY & INCLUSION
Scouting is an inclusive, values-based Movement. Membership is open to all those who share our fundamental values.
In Australia we have opened Scouting to all regardless of gender for over thirty years.
Scouting provides programs that embrace the diversity of our communities and aim to be inclusive of all abilities.
While everyone is welcome within our regular Scout Groups, we also have some specialised Groups tailored for specific abilities, religious and cultural communities. Diversity & Inclusion in Scouting
