Central Queensland Family History Association

The Central Queensland Family History Association Inc. (CQFHA) began on 21 May 1986 in Rockhampton, Queensland, originally known as the Central Queensland Genealogical Association. From the beginning, it has been a non‑political, non‑sectarian, not‑for‑profit group dedicated to helping people explore their family history throughout Central Queensland.

In 1990, the association adopted its current name to better reflect the breadth of its work.

Today, CQFHA is proud to operate from its own clubrooms in Park Avenue, where we hold a wide range of family history records from Central Queensland and other regions.

Our volunteer researchers are available to assist anyone tracing their family connections to this area. A small fee applies for non‑members.
