Council Officers will be conducting inspections at properties in Frenchville from 6 July to 27 September as part of Council’s annual Animal Inspection Program. Inspection times will take place between 7am and 6pm, Monday to Sunday.

Alton Downs Hall services the Fitzroy District community of the Rockhampton. The hall is available for hire to organisations as a venue for public events; workshops, training, etc. and to individuals for private functions. The hall has been updated to include a ramp for disabled access and egress, and disabled toilets to provide facilities for older community members, disabled people and their carers. A weatherproof roof over the ramp has been added. These combined improvements facilitate the use of the hall for older community members, disabled people and their carers who would otherwise have difficulty in participating in the events conducted in the hall. The Alton Downs Community Hall was officially opened on Monday 2nd January 1905 and has been continually serving the Fitzroy District including Rockhampton for 121 years.
