TAG Rocky Region Community Workshop Session - Northside Library

Next date: Thursday, 22 October 2026 | 02:00 PM to 04:00 PM

Extreme weather is becoming more frequent and intense, bringing new challenges for our homes, neighbourhoods and the wider Rockhampton Region.
That’s why it’s more important than ever to prepare for emergencies and adapt to a changing environment.

Are you ready? Come and play The Adaptation Game (TAG) to find out!

TAG helps groups strengthen their ability to cope, recover and thrive - not just during disasters but through everyday stressors as well. Step into a realistic, engaging scenario where your group becomes part of a community working together to adapt and thrive.

During a TAG session, you will:

Build personal and community resilience by working individually and as a team.
Face realistic “shock” scenarios including floods, heatwaves and bushfires, and explore practical, local responses.
Identify meaningful actions that strengthen your home, neighbourhood and the region.
Look ahead to the future to see how today’s choices shape tomorrow’s resilience.

With locally tailored maps and Rockhampton Region-specific scenarios, TAG delivers an immersive experience of responding to real, compounding challenges in our region.

If you or your group is looking for a dynamic, engaging activity that strengthens teamwork and community connection, TAG is for you!

See you there! Strong communities start at home – and when households and neighbours are prepared and connected, everyone benefits.
