Rockhampton Startup Weekend

Who should come along?

Anyone with a business idea, technical or non-technical, applicable to any industry. Or anyone who does not have a business idea but would love to experience what is involved in starting a business.

How does it work?

The weekend kicks off at 5.30pm on Friday with dinner followed by all participants having the opportunity to pitch their idea/s.  Teams are formed based on the ideas that receive the most attendee votes. Teams will work together all weekend on the chosen idea with the support of several mentors and the Lead Facilitator. The weekend culminates in all teams pitching their businesses to the three Judges on Sunday afternoon who then award the prize packs (see below) to the top three teams.

Times

Friday     5.30pm - late (official formalities finish by 10pm but teams can choose to keep working).

Saturday  9.00am - late 

Sunday    9.00am - 4.30pm
