The 87th Rockhampton Eisteddfod will commence on Sunday 5 May 2024. This year's Eisteddfod will commence with the Piano and Instrumental sections to be conducted in the Walter Reid Cultural Centre auditorium. Rockhampton Regional Council is again the major sponsor of this annual event and the Eisteddfod Association greatly appreciates Council support. Following Piano and Instrumental, the Dance section will commence at the Pilbeam Theatre on Tuesday 14 May. This will be followed by the Choral and Vocal section commencing on 20 May. The 2024 Rockhampton Eisteddfod will conclude with the Speech and Drama section commencing on Monday 27 May. A major highlight will be the staging of the Signing Choir sections on Tuesday evening commencing at 6.00 pm in the Pilbeam Theatre. The Signing Choirs have become unique to the Rockhampton Eisteddfod.

Dates for the sections for the 87th Rockhampton Eisteddfod are:

Piano: 5 May - 8 May

Instrumental: 9 May - 12 May

Dance: 14 May - 19 May

Choral and Vocal: 20 May - 25 May

Speech and Drama: 27 May - 30 May

All of the above dates are inclusive.
