Local Rockhampton community centre Lotus Place is currently running the 'Reconciling Histories' Art Project which explores the journey of truth telling and justice making for adults with lived experience of institutional child abuse. The arts project aims to help participants develop new skills and networks, and increase community awareness to evoke broader conversation on this part of Australia’s history.
The artworks will then be exhibited at the Walter Reid Cultural Centre, with the showcase launch being held on Tuesday 14th September. The artworks will remain on show for public viewing until 18th September.
