Local born historian, Marilyn Dooley, will present an illustrated talk celebrating the Horse in Australian and Chinese culture, followed by a chat over morning tea.
This talk will canter through some of the many stories that commemorate the Horse, focusing on the legendary racehorse Phar Lap (aka “Bobby”), born in New Zealand a century ago.
The Fire Horse is the current Chinese Zodiac creature, and occurs only once every 60 years.
