ANZAC DAY Dawn March/Service/Gunfire Breakfast

All Veterans, family members and members of the community are invited to march at Dawn. Assemble by 4.10am in front of the shops at Lawrie Street, Gracemere to step off at 4.28am, proceed down John Street before turning into 2nd entrance of 12 James Street for the ANZAC Day Dawn Service at the Cenotaph at Gracemere & District RSL Sub Branch – to honour all Australians and New Zealanders who have served or sacrificed in wars, conflicts and peacekeeping operations since World War I. 

Please note the inbound and outbound lanes between Lawrie St and John St will be closed from 4.10am till 4.40am from the lights cnr O'Shanesy St and Old Gracemere Highway to the lights at intersection of Lawrie St and John St.

4.40am Mounting of the Catafalque Party -31/42RQR/TS Rockhampton Navy Cadets.

Dawn Service commences including Guest Speaker, Alan Parr MG OAM, laying of wreaths, Isabel Brown playing The Last Post and Reveille, and the Haka.

All are welcome to stay for a Gunfire Breakfast at $5 per head however due to limited space inside the building, there will also be a Girl Guides' sausage sizzle during the morning while games are on - Two Up, Crown and Anchor, and Raffles.

Join us for a morning of commemoration to honour the fallen and camaraderie over a drink or two with those who have served or are still serving.
