Get ready for a paw-some day out!

The doors of the 2025 Pet Expo will swing open at 9.00am on Saturday 6 September at the Robert Schwarten Pavilion in New Exhibition Road, Wandal. There promises to be plenty to do for the whole family.

Explore market stalls and discover a wide range of pet products, services, and information from local businesses and groups.

Kids can have fun joining in the arts and crafts activities being hosted by the Rockhampton Girls' Brigade.

Microchipping for your cat or dog will be available for the cost of only $10 (available to Rockhampton Regional Council residents only). To save time, complete the form available on this page and bring it along on the day. Cat microchip vouchers will be available for purchase and valid for one month at the supporting vet's surgery. Microchipping appointments will close at 1.00pm on the day, but vouchers may be purchased up to 2.00pm.

Program

9.00am - Doors open

9.15am - Stage talks: pet grooming; basic dog training techniques; simple photography tips and tricks

10.00am - Official opening and competitions: best dress pet; best matchy dog and owner duo; best trick or antic by pet

10.45am - Special guest appearance by Sir Dobby, the skateboarding cat. Stage talk about, "How to train a cat".

11.30am - Dashi Dash heats commence

1.00pm - Microchipping appointments close

2.00pm - Event closes
