Held on the mighty Fitzroy River - Rockhampton's Sprint Regatta is the first local rowing regatta for the 2022 season! This regatta is a great way for Rockhampton's school programs to get back into racing and is a great introduction for novice rowers. Organisers keep the race distances shorter to just 500m and 1000m, so that novice and younger rowers can experience what it's like (without the pressure) to compete at a regatta.
Racing takes place on the freshwater stretch of the Fitzroy River, to the north of the barrage. All are welcome to come and take a look. Food and drink will be available on the morning.
