Rockhampton Regional Council Library is excited to announce the launch of its latest addition to the digital entertainment landscape – Kanopy.

Communities and Heritage Councillor Drew Wickerson said Kanopy provides library members with a diverse selection of movies, TV series, and documentaries available for free streaming.

"Kanopy is an excellent addition to our library services, offering a wide range of entertainment options for our community members,” Cr Wickerson said.

“Our libraries provide many online and digital options for the community, and we are excited to have Kanopy as a new addition.

“If you are a library member you can access eMagazines, eBooks, eAudiobooks, language help, car and motorbike manuals, online courses, career assistance, and now a streaming service.

“It isn't your average streaming service – it's a curated selection of films that cater to diverse tastes, from the latest releases to timeless classics. Best of all, it's FREE for all library members!

“We want to encourage participation, so we are hosting a competition that provides a chance for our library members to win a $50 BCC Cinema pass.

“To be in the running, simply go to Kanopy and choose a movie, TV series, or documentary to watch, and then craft a short review – it’s that easy!

“If you’re not already a library member, sign up today. Contact our team on 4936 8043, head to your local library or visit our website for more information.

“Libraries are much more than just books, there is something to suit everyone.”
