Spring into family fun on the September school holidays

When the bell rings to mark the beginning of school holidays on Friday, there will be plenty of free and low-cost events happening across the Rockhampton region to keep the kids entertained.

From fun and colourful theatre shows and circus workshops, stepping back in time at the Heritage Village or a wild adventure at Rockhampton Zoo, there’s will be something for the entire family to enjoy.

Flipside Circus

Young performers can build confidence and learn exciting new skills when Flipside Circus returns to Rockhampton!

The Librarian

The Bubble Spectacular

Enter the bubbly-brilliant world of Dr Hubble, as he presents The Bubble Spectacular – a fun-filled, out of this world, bubble-riffic show. Expect to be amazed as the ultimate master of bubbles, Dr Hubble, creates little bubbles, BIG bubbles, volcano bubbles, tornado bubbles, square bubbles and with a bit of his bubbly-magic, you might even end up inside a bubble.

Archer Park Rail Museum

Learn about the tram cars that used to get Rockhampton locals from A to B and immerse yourself in history with restored trains, the Purrey Steam Tram and state-of-the-art soundscape to transport you back to the 1940s. There will be tram rides on Wednesdays during the school holidays and on the King’s Birthday Public Holiday with discount entry prices.
