Snap up your tickets and be one of the first to experience the football fever when the National Rugby League (NRL) Telstra Premiership takes over Rockhampton, 21 and 28 August 2021.

Tickets will go on sale at 9am on Wednesday, 18 August for the Round 23 game between Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks vs Wests Tigers, with tickets for the Round 24 game between St George Illawarra Dragons vs North Queensland Cowboys to go on sale the following week.

Rockhampton Region Mayor Tony Williams said holding two NRL premiership rounds in Rockhampton will create history for the region.

“This will be the first time an NRL premiership match will be held in Rockhampton, and with not one but two games being held at Browne Park it will create history for our region,” Mayor Williams said.

“We know the interest is extremely high from not only locals, but our drive-market visitors.

“It’s very exciting to launch ticket sales for the Rockhampton rounds very soon.”

Advance Rockhampton Executive Manager, Greg Bowden said with two games coming to the region it will certainly boost our local economy.

“With local and visitors getting to Browne Park for the NRL games over the next two weekends our hospitality venues and our retail sector will receive a noticeable uplift in people traffic,” Mr Bowden said.

“We are excited to sponsor this event and with tickets going on sale the Rockhampton Leagues Club and Browne Park Management are gearing up for a massive weekend.

“Our ticketing platform has been bolstered with crowd handling technology to cater for the expected demand of the upcoming rounds.”

The Round 23 game between the Sharks vs Tigers will be held at Rockhampton’s Browne Park on Saturday 21 August, kicking off at 3:00pm.

Tickets for the Round 23 Sharks vs Tigers match can be purchased via the Rockhampton Regional Council Facebook NRL Event page from 9am Wednesday 18 August.

The Round 24 game between the Dragons vs Cowboys will be held at Rockhampton’s Browne Park on Saturday 28 August, kicking off at 3:00pm.

Ticket details for the Round 24 Dragons vs Cowboys match will be released closer to the game.

Event capacity is 5,000 for each game with General Admission tickets ranging from $33-$55 and Allocated Seating tickets starting from $80.
