Rockhampton River Festival 2025 Music Lineup

The countdown is on! With just one month to go, the Rockhampton Region is gearing up for its biggest celebration yet as the 2025 Rockhampton River Festival returns from July 25–27, transforming the banks of the Fitzroy River (Tunuba) into a vibrant hub of music, culture, and arts.

This year’s free-entry festival promises an unforgettable experience with a diverse music line-up across all three days. From country and folk to blues, roots, and alt-rock, there’s something for every music lover.

Rockhampton Region Mayor Tony Williams said River Fest continues to grow and expand as a signature event for the region.

“Rockhampton River Festival is more than just a weekend of entertainment, it’s a celebration of our region and community,” Mayor Williams said.

“We’re proud to showcase incredible local talent alongside nationally recognised artists, all set against the stunning backdrop of the Fitzroy River. This year’s line-up is our biggest yet, and we can’t wait to welcome everyone for a weekend of music, food, and arts.”

“In 2024, the River Festival attracted thousands of visitors and generated over $1.6 million in direct and incremental spending across the region. That’s a huge boost for our local businesses, accommodation providers, and hospitality venues.”

“This year, we’re expecting more than 40,000 attendees over the three-day event, and we’re encouraging visitors from near and far to come and discover everything Rockhampton has to offer, from our thriving arts and music scene to our warm regional hospitality.”

With over 40 artists performing across two riverside stages, this year’s River Fest delivers a diverse soundtrack for every taste with heavy hitters Josh Setterfield, the Little Quirks, Beckah Amani and Karise Eden.

The weekend of live music builds to a powerful finale with a heartfelt homecoming performance by Tom Busby. Best known as one half of the iconic duo Busby Marou, Tom is stepping into the solo spotlight with his debut album.

“Headlining Rocky River Fest and closing out Sunday is so special for me, especially since it’s my first time back as a solo artist,” Tom Busby said.

“I’m bringing my whole family along, and I can’t wait to share these new tracks and maybe a surprise guest or two! It’s going to be an epic time!”

Tom’s new solo project, recorded with Ben Kweller in Texas, blends indie-alt country and roots with raw, honest storytelling sure to strike a chord with fans old and new.
